Old router is the Netgear x6 AC3200.
I was trying the new Linksys Max-Stream AC5400 with a better processor.
So far the Linksys seems the better router. Pages load faster and streaming Dish Network remotely is nearly flawless.
With the Netgear, which is a nice router too, streaming Dish was iffy at best.
And pages loaded slower on the Netgear.
I was curious if higher processing speed was making the difference or ?

The new Linksys has a 1.4 GHz processor. The older Netgear has a 1GHz dual core processor.
The new AC5400 from Linksys definitely has better performance, but I wonder if the processor is making all the difference, or maybe other features on the Linksys?

You dirty rat!

Billy Brooks, 47, of Hingham paid $3,600 Saturday for Bulger’s rat-shaped pencil holder, one of the most coveted pieces at the auction — given the gangster’s status as a longtime FBI informant.

Why do I think that Billy Brooks is a AT’er?

Seriously, why would anyone pay that much for that?
At they bought his shoes (size 9 1/2 Asics sneakers (never worn) for $55? WTH?

I’m hoping there will is free software, but I’m willing to pay up to $20.

Thanks.

Win 10 deactivated itself?

Odd one, booted up win 10 today, and I saw the watermark.
I knew it was already activated, so I looked, and it said activation servers down.
I clicked retry, and finally I was activated again.

Nothing at all changed in the system, in fact, that specific box was dormant for ~30 days, I just had to fire it up to test some things.

Anyone else run into this before?
I haven’t had a system remain dormant as long as that one, but, I thought it wouldn’t check again for activation unless something has changed?

UK Brexit Camp Already Exposing Themselves as Liars

As the liars and people manipulators they are…

And it’s not even two days since the vote…

The FIRST and probably most known lie that was exposed was a supposed "£350m a week [money otherwise going to the EU] that could be spent on the NHS" <– so cute, the NHS. "Sick people. So so noble and cute to give money to the sick…. But, what a coincidence, right after the results were in:

Quote:

Nigel Farage also told Good Morning Britain that the claim written on the side of the Vote Leave Battle Bus – that leaving the EU would release £350m a week that could be spent on the NHS – was "a mistake". "It wasn’t one of my adverts," he said.

As if this not enough to make "Outers" realize what scammers and manipulators they fell for…it gets better, WAY better…

We know that most of the "decent folks" voted "because of immigrants". If they now thought that Immigration will stop or even become less…I have news for those folks:

Quote:

Brexit campaigner Nigel Evans says idea immigration will fall after EU referendum result a ‘misunderstanding’

When asked if immigration will fall significantly now the UK is leaving the EU, Mr Evans answered: ‘No’

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk…-a7104021.html

"No"! Let me explain. UK politics is as bizarre to me as for most here, but the kicker here is that the UK, despite "exiting the EU" wants to remain in the "single market", the easy and free flow of goods and most importantly LABOUR within the EU. If LABOUR continues to flow in and out (cheap polish workers, for example) it defies obviously very much what many "Outers" wanted when they voted.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk…s-7103076.html

Quote:

The Conservative MEP Daniel Hannan told Newsnight that EU immigration would continue if the UK wanted to retain membership of the single market, a course of action he himself advocates. “Frankly, if people watching think they have voted and there is now going to be zero immigration from the EU, they are going to be disappointed,” he said. “All we are asking for is some control over roughly who comes in and roughly in what numbers.”

Staying in the single market means that it will, as was the case before, be easy for firms to bring in, say, "cheap Polish workers" etc…and obviously there is little interest by the bigwigs that this should change. The funny thing, this doesn’t even touch "immigration" since a cheap Eastern European worker is not considered an "immigrant", but as the Brexit liars already admitted, even actual immigration is not much affected by a Brexit.

The Brexit campaign was exposed as a con today

A few Corsair H115i Questions

Just picked up an H115i for the PC and tossing around a few thoughts in my head before I install. Want to get everything squared away plan-wise beforehand as I don’t have any place local to go pick up parts like adapters, cables etc. Done a bit of googling, but just looking for some specific confirmation or thoughts. So if anyone has any input on the following, I would greatly appreciate it.

Relevant Info:

I am currently using a Phanteks Enthoo Luxe case.

I bought the H115i for future platform OC considerations and the fact that my Thermalright Venomous-X is aging and getting a little scuffed up etc., so this is more of an appearance or "cool-looking" purchase than a max possible OC tool.

Questions:

1) Is there any real downside to running 3-pin non-PWM fans on the radiator other than lack of board header control? This is an aesthetic preference of mine because my case is color-matched. I currently run my fans off a Lamptron FC-5 controller. I also have other temperature check measures in place, so alerts are not really necessary. My case will allow for push/pull on the radiator, so I can do that to keep the appearance uniform from inside the case and looking down into the case from the top. I understand that my fans might not be as good as the included ones for a rad, but I’m not exactly running a bleeding edge OC here. As long as I can control the pump somehow (Corsair Link, board header etc.) I’m fine with manual fan control on the rad.

2) The H115 comes with the USB cable for Corsair Link that has to be attached to a board USB header. I’d really like to avoid running an unsightly cable to the USB board header as there’s no real clean way for me to route it. From what I’ve read, it looks like you can set the preferences for the unit and then ditch Corsair Link after that. Will this approach work to set pump speed, LED color, etc. and then allow me to remove the cable? The LED isn’t a deal breaker, so if I can just set the pump preferences and remove the cable, I’m fine with that.

Thanks for taking the time to read all of this and for any suggestions or advice.
